  • The St. John's Music Ministry's primary goal is to provide a barrier free worship experience.

  • Focus scripture: Colossians 3:12-16: (12) Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (13) Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (14) And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (15) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. (16) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

    As we allow God to minister to and perfect our musical family, this is one of the scriptures the Music Ministry will use as the standard. This scripture states that before you can sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God (vs. 16) you have to account for the instructions given to God's people (vs. 12-15).

Ministers of Praise
  • The mission of the Ministers of Praise is to follow Christ's example by preaching the good tidings, healing the brokenhearted, proclaiming liberty, and loosing bondages through the art of dance.

  • Focus scripture: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;…” Isaiah 61:1
