Beyoncé and Tina unveil Dereon clothing Line at Macy's in Chicago with 2,000 present.

CHICAGO, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Chicago's Macy's was packed with Beyoncé fans when the singer was on hand to promote the new "House of Dereon" in-store boutique.
Although Beyoncé and her mother, Tina, stopped by to introduce the boutique, most of the 2,000 fans who filled the floor and balconies didn't seem to care much for fashion as much as seeing the singer, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Friday.
The Knowles' spent almost two years creating their Dereon clothing line, which offers everything from stage-ready bustier gowns to trendy skinny jeans.

"It was important we didn't just put my name on something I wasn't involved with or wasn't proud of," Beyoncé told the Sun-Times. She also has no complaints about upholding her fashion line, a best-selling CD, a budding film career and numerous onstage performances.

"It's tough at times, making sure I balance myself and have time to relax and recharge and come up with new ideas," Beyoncé said. "It is possible to do. I'm doing it now -- at least the best I can."
